Holding an Honours BFA from York University, Jennifer Robichaud has had extensive dance training in many disciplines, specializing in jazz and contemporary forms. Jennifer co-founded Larchaud Dance Project in 2004 and currently holds the position as Artistic Director. Her performance credits include LDP productions (Gridlock/15, Elegant Beast/12, Fossil/12, Game Over/10, Back to X/09,Caution/07, SHINJIRU/06, Stript Bare/05), Body Break/15, GCDF/10, Illuminite/10, Beats Breaks and Culture/09, Nuit Blanche/07/08, Junction Arts Festival/07/08, Fringe Shanghai/06, TIDF/06, Wintercity Festival/06, Dusk Dances/03 and commercial work. Jennifer has worked as a collaborator with Anandam Dance, a performer with AKA Dance, and was a featured choreographer on the Gemini nominated documentary series Freedom which airs on Bravo. She has worked with choreographers Tracey Norman, Suzanne Miller, and Marie France Forcier. Currently Jennifer is on faculty at Conteur Academy and is contract faculty with the Department of Kinesiology and Health Science at York University. She is the co-director of the youth performance group Perspective Dance, leads countless workshops in the city as part of LDP, and is involved with youth programming and intiatives throughout the city.
A founding member of Intrikit Break Dance Crew, Jase has been a choreographer and performer with Larchaud Dance Project since 2005. Performance and choreographic credits include Gridlock:LDP, Elegant Beast:LDP, Game Over: LDP, Back to X: LDP, Caution: LDP, GCDF/10, Beats Breaks and Culture/09, Nuit Blanche/07/08, Fringe Shanghai/06, TIDF- Urban Matinees and Gala Event, The ROOTS, Citizen Kane, Choclair, Beastie Boys, Tribe Called Quest, Raptors Half Time Show, Raptors Dance Pac (choreographer), and Blues Brothers 2000 (film). Jase apprenticed with COBA in 2003/04, and toured the USA as a competitor of international breakdance battles. Jase is the founder of G5 Canadian Urban; a Toronto movement dedicated to the promotion and exposure of Canadian talent. He is also a program coordintor at Tropicana Community Services, and acts as a mentor/industry liason for emerging youth.
Born and raised in Toronto, Lashbrook began her technical training at the age of four. She attended the Claude Watson School for the Arts and went on to graduate from Ryerson University's Theatre Performance Dance Program, with an honours BFA. Mayumi has worked with Lauren Cook, Marie France Forcier, Jennifer Robichaud, Jase Cozmic, Collen Snell, Min-Bo Lam, Lisa Emmons, Mateo Galindo Torres, and Edz Gyamfi. Companies include, but are not limited to, Alias Dance Project, Larchaud Dance Project, Frog in Hand, Miscellum Dance Collective, The Whole Shebang Burlington,and Dreamwalker Dance. She currently serves as Co-Artistic Director and Media Liason for Form Contemporary Dance Theatre.
Amy Hampton is a graduate of L'École Supérieure de Danse du Québec, affliated with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal, where she was a member of Le Jeune Ballet du Québec. She has performerd nationally and internationally with CORPUS and has danced with the Chimera Project, Kaeja d'Dance, Tiger Princess Dance Projects, Anandam Dancetheatre and Larchaud Dance Project. Independently, she has originated roles in works by Robert Desrosiers, Kathleen Rea, Yvonne Ng, William Yong, Meagan O'Shea, Lydia Wagerer, Keiko Ninomiya, Michael Caldwell, and Lincoln Shand. Amy's choreographic work has been commissioned by the Parahumans, Cadence Bridges Ballet, and Anandam Dance Theatre. Her most recent work presented at the dance:made in canada festival won the Paula Citron Award for choreography. In 2007, Amy co-founded AKA Dance, and the company has since received two Dance Ontario commissions. It has performed nationally and internationally, and it's work for youn audiences continues to tour throughout Ontario, having reached over 15, 000 students. Amy is active in the community as a teacher, rehearsal director, and as Program Manager at Dance Ontario.
Independant dance artist Ryan Lee was born in London, Ontario. Ryan graduated from Ryerson University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Dance. He has been fortunate to have the opportunity to work with renowned choreograophers: Emily Molnar, Stephen Pier, Tino Segal, Robert GLumbeck, Roberto Campanella, Menaka Thakkar, Darryl Tracey, D.A. Hoskins, and Darcey Callison. Ryan has also been able to work with such companies as Proartedanza, Toronto Dance Theatre, Kaeja d'Dance, Anandam Dancetheatre, Larchaud Dance Project, and The Chimera Project. A Dora Award nominee, Ryan is an in demand teacher throughout the Greater Toronto Area, and his work as a choreographer has taken him to Western Canada and parts of Northern Ontario. He has taught at The Conteur Academy, Ryerson University, DanceTeq, Canadian Children's Dance Theatre, Metro Movement, City Dance Corps, Fresh Dance Intensive, and The National Ballet's In Studio Series.
Marie France Forcier
Collaborator/Guest Choreographer/Rehearsal Director
Marie F. Forcier is the artistic director of Forcier Stage Works (www.forcierstageworks.com). Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, Marie gained a Sociology DEC degree and she is a scholarship recipient from CEGEP de Saint-Laurent’s dance program. In 2001, she co-founded the award winning collective Si pailles Si rondes with which she toured throughout France and Quebec until 2003. She is also a graduate from The School of Toronto Dance Theatre. Marie has created works that have been presented in: Toronto, CA (Harbourfront Center, Series 8:08, fFIDA/TIDF, In a White Room, Parahumans Dance Theatre), Vancouver, CA (Judith Marcuse Dance Projects), Montreal, CA (Studio 303), Quebec City, CA (Correspondanse), New York City, USA (Dance Theatre Workshop), Shanghai, China (The Larchaud Dance Project) and soon Victoria, CA (ROMP). In the last year, she created and produced Nucleus, as a part of DanceWorks CoWorks 2006-7 and has been re-invited to be part of the CoWorks programming for 2007-8 with a new production. Marie has also worked as a performer for several choreographers and taught modern technique at McMaster University. She has directed and performed extensively with the Canadian based company KOBA (Children dance-theatre productions) in Dubai, UAE, Beirut, Lebanon and across Canada and the USA. Marie recently returned from sharing a choreographic residency with nine other hi-caliber dance artists from seven countries at OMI (New York, USA). She is a member of the Canadian Alliance of Dance Artists, Dance Ontario and DTRC.
Patrizia is a Toronto based dance artist dedicated to dance education and exposure in her community. She holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from York University, and a BFA from Ryerson University. Patrizia has worked with companies and choreographers such as Cirque du Soleil, Mia Michaels, Travis Wall, Cadence Contemporary Ballet, Roberto Campanella, Debra Brown, Conteur Dance Company, Larchaud Dance Project, The Dance Migration, and Newton Moraes Dance Theatre. Throughout her career, she has had the privilege of touring Brazil, U.S., Europe, and the United Kingdom. Currently, Patrizia is on staff at George Brown College, Centennial College, and Conteur Dance Academy. She is the co-founder of Lady Luck Production, the co-founder of Perspective Dance, and the director of ZDance.
